Not Enough Buttons

The main negative aspect of this product is that there simply aren’t enough buttons.

Best Macbook Pro Mouse Devices – Buyer’s Guide

How do mouse devices work?

Mouse devices work in a similar fashion to any other type of wireless device. Because the wireless aspect is based on radio signals, the device itself needs a transmitter and a receiver to work properly.

The transmitter is contained within the mouse device itself, sending the signal out. The computer then has to receive the signal, after which it translates it into the computer’s language to create an action.

In this situation, the action is to pass it on through the computer’s driver system which then gives the mouse permission to control the computer.

From there, users can use the mouse device to control the computer itself, moving the cursor along in accordance to what they want to highlight.

Are these devices wireless?

Almost! All of the mouse devices listed in this article are wireless aside from the UtechSmart Venus Gaming Mouse RGB Wired.

Admittedly, it does not have a number pad on the side of it and costs over twice the price of the aforementioned mouse, but it is incredibly high-quality and definitely worth looking into. It also has a battery charge of up to 50 hours!

The amount of time you can use any given mouse depends on the specific product.

What is the difference between a mouse and a Magic Trackpad?

A Magic Trackpad is a device frequently coupled with Macbook Pro mouse devices by Apple themselves, encouraging users to choose one, the other, or even both in certain situations.

It takes on the form of a trackpad similar to the one that is included with the Macbook Pro, but instead is nearly twice the size and allows for an increased range of motion.

The Magic Trackpad from Apple

Those who are interested in having more nuance with their trackpad motions should invest in this product, but it isn’t worth getting if you’re mainly focused on the flexibility of mouse devices (i.e. scrolling with one finger, etc.).

  1. This is my very first Apple Magic Mouse and I have been using it for about 3 weeks and this is what I think of it so far.

    Pros:
    Comes with an internal battery
Comes with a USB cable for charging
No need to use the MacBook’s trackpad as all the gestures are supported
    Extremely portable

    Cons:
    It is expensive
It loses the Bluetooth connection frequently
    Not very user-friendly

  2. I recently got the Microsoft Surface Arc Mouse for light gaming. So far this is what I think about the mouse.

Design: The mouse has a sleek design. It folds, which is extremely convenient when you need to travel with it. It has a beautiful design. So if you prioritize aesthetics, you are going to love the way this one looks.

Performance: I have not experienced any Bluetooth connectivity issues. A problem that many users seem to complain about. The mouse is simple and easy to use. The tracking is a bit challenging at first, but once you get used to it, you are going to find just how easy it is to use the mouse.

Features: it has limited features. There are certain things that I would have wanted this mouse to do such as being able to right and left click at the same time, but it cannot it does not have this and some other capabilities.

  3. This is my first Logitech Wireless Mouse and I love it. It works well on most surfaces and its ergonomically designed. I had no problems connecting to my Windows 10 computer. And the battery life is great. I have used it for a couple of months and in that time, I have charged at most twice.

The only problem I have with the mouse is that it uses the Type-B cable, which means I cannot use the Type-C cable that I use for charging my Android phone to charge the mouse. That means if I need an extra charging cable even though I will only need to use it once a month.

  4. I purchased the Urechsmart mouse and here is what I think about it:

    Pros
    It has a quality build
    It is durable
    Very responsive DPI adjustment
The MMO buttons are angled for effortless physical reading
It is easy to set up

If you are like me and become doubtful about a product because of a few negative reviews. Trust me, don’t hesitate to buy this mouse. For the price, this mouse offers great performance.

    Cons
If you have a big hand, you might have a problem with holding or handling the mouse
Overall: for the price, this mouse will exceed your expectations.

  5. I use CAD a lot and I create plenty of graphics that require precision beyond what you can get from a standard mouse. I was also curious to see how its customization can be of use in the software programs I use. And so far, I’m happy with the Mamba’s capabilities and functionality.
It comes with a wireless dongle, adapter, and a USB cable. And the mouse itself is lightweight, precise, and comfortable. Also, it is wireless, so you don’t need to deal with cables, and it has no lag.
The battery life is amazing. You can use it for about 50 hours before you need to charge it again. But so far, the mouse is working the way I hoped it would.

  6. I purchased the Logitech M525 wireless mouse. Is the mouse compatible with Windows 10?

  7. I recently bought a MacBook Pro 2017 and I’m searching for a mouse that can work with it. I noticed that many of them have a nano transmitter, but the MacBook Pro has the Type C USB. I don’t want to spend much on a mouse.
I have read that the Bluetooth mice that are not equipped with a nano transmitter are not compatible with MacBook Pros. Any ideas on what mouse I should buy?

    • The Microsoft Surface mouse is great. It is well designated and it comes in two versions: Bluetooth and nano transmitter. The Bluetooth version is compatible with a MacBook. The only problem is that its expensive. But this device is foldable so you store it and carry it around with you without a problem.

  8. This Razor Mamba is amazing. The size and shape are great. It works extremely well. The wireless function is fantastic, but the software is complex. But other than that the DPI buttons are great and the product, in general, is perfect.

  9. I plan on getting a new mouse. My old one dying, although I have only used it for a few years.
I’m interested in the Logitech MX Master 2S mouse. It has a great design, its wireless the only problem is that it is expensive. But despite all that, can I use it to create custom macros?

  10. The Apple Magic mouse works well. The only problem I have with it is the charging port. It’s underneath, which means I cannot use the mouse while it’s charging. The good thing is that once it’s fully charged, the battery life can last for hours. So when if you plan on buying this mouse, keep in mind that you cannot use it while it is charging.
