5 Best Wallet Trackers (as of April, 2024):

1. Safedome Tracking Card 6543857563 Wallet Tracker – The Rangiest Wallet Finder Review

Safedome Tracking Card 6543857563Most times, we don’t realize that we’ve misplaced our wallet until it’s too late.

You may already be driving and only then does it dawn on you that your wallet isn’t in your back pocket.

That’s why range is an important feature of a wallet finder.

You want to be able to pinpoint the location of your wallet even if you’re not in the same room with it. In that scenario, the Safedome Tracking Card 6543857563 may be exactly what you need.

Improved Bluetooth Connectivity

The main selling point of this Safedome item is the fact that it makes use of Bluetooth 5.

Compared to earlier versions of that particular piece of technology, Bluetooth 5 features greater speed as well as an enhanced ability to transfer data. For the purposes of this article, what I want to highlight is the improved range.

Safedome Tracking Card 6543857563 Review, Pros and Cons.

According to Macworld, Bluetooth has a theoretical maximum range of 800 feet. Obviously, this Safedome card doesn’t feature that kind of range, but it’s still a big step up from what other top wallet finders offer.

Slim Profile

You also don’t have to worry about this wallet finder adding too much bulk to your wallet. At just 1.6 millimeters, it can easily slide into any card compartments you have in your wallet and you can just leave it there.

Safedome Tracking Card 6543857563 has 1.66mm thin

Not all wallet finders are capable of fitting so seamlessly into your pocket.

Drawbacks

The most obvious one is the cost. Having to pay that much for a wallet finder may prove hard to stomach for some, especially given where the other top options end up in terms of their prices.

It’s also unfortunate that there is no charger included.

Overall: Recommended

The cost is hard to overlook, but if you can do so, you’ll be getting your hands on one of the most convenient and helpful wallet finders.

2. Innway Card Wallet Tracker – Most Affordable Option Review

Innway CardWe go from one of the priciest wallet finders on the market to one that is accessible to a larger segment of potential buyers.

The Innway Card won’t wow you with any of its features, but it’s a more than serviceable option for folks who want to get a wallet finder without emptying the contents of said wallet.

Slimmer and Lighter

Though the Innway Card is just slightly thinner than the Safedome Tracking Card 6543857563 – 1.5 mm for the former, 1.6 mm for the latter – there is a significant difference in terms of how much they weigh.

This Innway Card adds little in the way of bulk to your wallet while also not weighing you down in any kind of noticeable way. You may even forget that you have this card in your pocket sometimes.

Longer Battery Life

The Innway Card also has Safedome beat in terms of battery life. After getting it to full battery status following a 2-hour charging session, you can count on it to remain functional for up to five months.

Innway Card Review, Pros and Cons.

That’s a great amount of battery life for a rechargeable item.

Drawbacks

Since I’ve highlighted the ways in which the Innway Card is superior to the rechargeable item being offered by Safedome Tracking Card 6543857563, it’s only fair that I also point out that the former lags way behind the latter when it comes to range.

Innway Card has a range tops out 30 meters

Its range tops out at 30 meters and that significantly limits its functionality. It doesn’t help that it’s not very loud when activated as well.

Overall: Recommended

You can argue that lacking range should be a deal-breaker for any wallet finder, but considering the cost savings provided by the Innway Card, I still say that it is a good purchase if you’re just trying to find something helpful on the cheap.

3. Tile Mate EC-13004 Wallet Tracker – A Well-Rounded Wallet Finder Review

Tile Mate EC-13004Tile is probably one of the most visible brands in the wallet finder industry and their reputation is well-deserved.

The folks at Tile have come out with some good wallet finders and the Tile Mate EC-13004 is among them.

Well-Rounded Features

While trying out the Tile Mate EC-13004, I just found myself consistently satisfied with the performance it provided.

Yes, its range is not the best you’ll see in a wallet finder, but it’s fine for what it is. It’s also loud enough that you should be able to tell where it’s located even when you’re activating it at the edge of its range.

Helpful Finding Features

The suitably loud ringing notification is not the only feature of the Tile Mate EC-13004 that will make it easier for you to find it.

Tile Mate EC-13004 Review, Pros and Cons.

The makers of this wallet finder also provide a Last Place Seen feature via the app. You can make use of that to check the last spot your wallet was last seen at and it will also tell you the time that it was at that spot.

The Active Community Find feature is even more helpful because if another Tile user is within range of your wallet, he/she can update its location for you.

Drawbacks

Unlike with the two previous wallet finders, the Tile Mate EC-13004 is not thin. You will most certainly notice its presence in your wallet. Thankfully, it’s not heavy, so it’s still fine to carry around.

Tile Mate EC-13004 is not thin

The range of this wallet finder is decent but it can be spotty at times. More consistency on that front would have made this a way better wallet finder.

Overall: Not Recommended

Don’t get me wrong. The Tile Mate EC-13004 is a fine wallet finder, but the reason I’m saying you can pass on it is because there’s a similar product that can be even more helpful which we will get to later in this article.

4. Nut3 Smart Key Finder – Most Feature-Loaded Wallet Finder Review

Nut3 Smart Key FinderYou’ll probably be pleased if your wallet finder can just do its job properly, but wouldn’t it be great if it could offer more than that?

The Nut3 Smart Key Finder aims to be that type of product.

Numerous Helpful Features

Features you’ll be able to benefit from if you decide to get the Nut3 Smart Key Finder include Smart Anti-Loss and that will let you know right away if you left your wallet behind somewhere.

It also comes with a bidirectional alarm that you can use if you want to keep track of your kid who may be running all over the beach.

Nut3 Smart Key Finder comes with a bidirectional alarm

Other helpful features include Group Sharing, the Lost & Found Network, and One Touch Find. Those features all serve to improve the versatility of the Nut3 Smart Key Finder and that’s good news for you.

Maintains a Slim Frame

Despite being powered by a replaceable battery, the Nut3 Smart Key Finder still manages to maintain a slim profile. Compared to the Tile Mate EC-13004 wallet finders, it’s nearly 50 percent thinner.

It’s also a lightweight wallet finder that you can just keep in your pocket for however long you want.

Drawbacks

As you may have expected, having so many features does also mean that this wallet finder tends to be a bit hyperactive with regards to providing notifications. If you’re trying to concentrate on a task at work, those notifications may get annoying really fast.

The range of this item is also not ideal when used indoors. That takes a lot away from its overall appeal for me.

Nut3 Smart Key Finder Review, Pros and Cons.

Overall: Not Recommended

Having access to so many features is a good thing, but having that type of versatility come at the cost of being bombarded with too many notifications is not ideal.

You’ll be able to find wallet finders with better specs than this and you’ll be happier with those items in your pocket.

5. Tile Pro EC-15002 – Best Wallet Finder with a Replaceable Battery Review

Tile Pro EC-15002Earlier, I passed on recommending the Tile Mate EC-13004 because I said there’s a product similar to it that is even more helpful.

Well, that product in question is the Tile Pro EC-15002.

Improving Upon the Tile Formula

Think of the Tile Pro EC-15002 as the improved version of the Tile Mate EC-13004. Whether you’re looking at the range or the sound quality, the Tile Pro simply has the Mate beat. The Pro’s range doubles what the Mate has to offer and it can also be twice as loud.

Tile Pro EC-15002 Review, Pros and Cons.

The Helpful Finding Features Return

Once again, you will get access to the Last Place Seen and Active Community Find features. We’ve already gotten into how useful those can be and you should know that they remain just as helpful in the Tile Pro.

Tile Pro EC-15002 has the Last Place Seen and Active Community Find features

If you were able to get plenty of good use out of what the Tile Mate EC-13004 provided, then that will hold true if you decide to use the Tile Pro EC-15002.

Drawbacks

If there is one area in which the Tile Pro EC-15002 is inferior to the Tile Mate EC-13004 then it has to be the form factor. You may have already experienced issues with the thickness of the Tile Mate EC-13004 and they are even more noticeable in the Tile Pro EC-15002.

The issue with the spotty Bluetooth connection has gone away though.

Overall: Recommended

The Tile Pro EC-15002 has a strong case for being considered as the best wallet finder overall, so it should come as no surprise that it gets a recommendation from me.

Best Wallet Trackers – Buyer’s Guide

As the products listed above already strongly hint at, not all wallet finders function in the exact same ways. Certain features and functions can make a specific item better suited to you.

In this buyer’s guide, we will examine the ways in which these wallet finders can vary from one another and how those should affect which item you ultimately choose to buy.

What Type of Wallet Finder Do I Need?

There are actually two general types of wallet finders, according to Car Bibles.

The first type is known as a radio-controlled wallet finder. These types of wallet finders make use of radio signals to link up the receivers with the transmitters. It’s harder to find radio-controlled wallet finders these days, but they can still be helpful items.

The other type of wallet finder makes use of Bluetooth technology to let you know where the item you’re looking for is located.

Because they take advantage of Bluetooth technology, that means you can also refer to specially designed maps and other users who have a similar wallet finder if you want to find the item you have misplaced.

As much as possible, you should try to get your hands on a Bluetooth wallet finder simply because it can be more helpful to you.

Should I Get a Wallet Finder with a Rechargeable or Replaceable Battery?

We’ve already established that wallet finders make use of either rechargeable or replaceable batteries, so which type of power source is better for this particular item?

Wallet Finder uses replaceable batteries

Honestly, it all depends on how accessible replacement batteries are in your location. If you can easily acquire a replacement battery for your wallet finder, then go with the items that use those since they typically have a longer lifespan.

If it’s too much work for you to get a replacement battery, then you can use the rechargeable wallet finders instead.

What Kind of Battery Life Should My Wallet Finder Feature?

Battery life is one of those things you may not immediately consider when buying a wallet finder. It’s only when your wallet finder is already close to being drained that you suddenly remember how important the battery life is.

Your battery life expectations will be affected by which type of wallet finder you decide to purchase.

For the most part, the ones that use rechargeable batteries have shorter lifespans. You will be able to spot some wallet finders that are equipped with rechargeable batteries that can last up to five months.

Five months is an ideal life span for a rechargeable wallet finder battery. The lowest acceptable lifespan for a rechargeable battery is about two months.

Your battery lifespan expectations should be way higher if you’re going to use a wallet finder powered by a replaceable battery.

According to Tom’s Guide, six months is a normal life span for a replaceable wallet finder battery. The people over at Tile have changed that though and now, it’s not atypical to see replaceable batteries for wallet finders that can last for up to a year.

What Kind of Range Should My Wallet Finder Feature?

Wallet finders aren’t just supposed to help you locate your missing valuable inside your own home. They should also be able to help out even if your wallet was left behind at a location you previously occupied.

That’s why range is an important consideration when picking out a wallet finder.

Range is an important consideration when picking out a wallet finder.

The low end of acceptable range for a wallet finder is about 30 meters outdoors. If the wallet finder’s range is under that, then it’s worth wondering if it can even be that helpful to you.

It’s essential for you to be mindful of the range rating or else you may end up buying something that could turn out to be pretty useless.

How Loud Should the Wallet Finder Be?

Generally speaking, louder is better when it comes to wallet finders because how else would you be able to locate your missing belonging. Still, you don’t want something that goes overboard.

Tom’s Guide notes that a decibel rating of 80 to 85 should be good for a wallet finder. Wallet finders that have that kind of decibel rating or something greater will be able to make their presence known even in an establishment filled with ambient noise.

Does the Thickness of the Wallet Finder Matter?

You obviously don’t want your wallet sticking out too much when you have it in your pocket and having a thicker wallet finder will not help with that. However, I wouldn’t worry too much about the form factor of the wallet finder.

Best Wallet Tracker Finders

I prioritize the other factors mentioned in this buyer’s guide and only when everything else is equal will I refer to the thickness of the item as a tie-breaker.

What Other Features Should I Look for in a Wallet Finder?

Network features can greatly enhance the usefulness of a wallet finder. If other users can help track down your missing wallet using their own devices, then that would be great.

Network features can greatly enhance the usefulness of a wallet finder

I would also pay attention to the app used together with the wallet finder. Some of those apps are not very user-friendly and they can take away from what is otherwise a good item.

Conclusion

If you’re still having some trouble deciding if you actually need a wallet finder, then please refer to the lists below.

You Need a Wallet Finder If:

  • You have a tendency to misplace your belongings whenever you get home
  • You find yourself always having to rush in the morning
  • You keep plenty of valuables in your wallet and must know its location at all times

You Don’t Need a Wallet Finder If:

  • You don’t go out on a regular basis and maybe work from home

If you’ve decided that a wallet finder is something you must have then please feel free to refer to this article as you search for that specific item that can guarantee that you will never have to scramble in the morning just to locate your wallet ever again.

Best Wallet Tracker Finders

  1. I have had the tile for along time and just figured it was working. Today is June 22 2020 lost my wallet with a working tile in it. When I pulled up the app to find my wallet after leaving camp some 200 miles ago I got worried. The Tile App said the last place and time my wallet was seen was January 10, 2020. Its on my keys too but not for long if you listen to the language in the videos it is carefully worded so you it does not commit to finding your wallet if its not with so many feet of you.

  2. What is the best and smallest GPS wallet device with at least USA tracking if not worldwide?

  3. The Safedome tracking card is extremely cool. I love shopping and many times I have left my phone at a shop, which is frustrating. So when I came to know about this device tracker and how it can help me when I’m in such situations, I made a decision to buy it. I gave it a test run and it’s great. It’s super convenient.

  4. I lost my wallet a month ago and since I was sure I did not leave it somewhere, I figured it must have accidentally fallen into the trash bin. So I bought the Innway card wallet tracker and tested it to see how well it works. And to my surprise, it did a good job of locating my new wallet. It showed me exactly where to find it. And when I went to the particular spot, I activated the beeper and voila, there was my wallet. Although the beeper is not very loud, it does its job. So I rate this as a high-quality product.

  5. What is the range on the Tile Mate tracker?

    • I think the range is over 100 feet. My friend left his wallet at a store, and he managed to locate it, and the thief who had taken it was about 600 feet away from the tracker. It could be because his Tile is not the same as mine. So I assume some Tile Mate models may have longer ranges.

  6. I have tried several wallet trackers before, but in my opinion, nothing beats the Safedom tracking card tracker. It allows you to connect up to 5 devices, and the separation alarm does not go on when your phone or app lose internet connection. And when you don’t have an internet connection, once it picks up your phone signal, it is going to tell you if you have left anything behind.

  7. I got the Nut3 Smart Key Finder for my wife because she always misplaces her keys, mobile phone, purse, and items. And it works great. The setup is easy and it is very helpful at locating misplaced or lost items.

  8. Thank goodness I don lose or misplace my keys often. But when it happens, at least I’m able to locate them. The Tile Pro is an amazing tracker and it has a broader range coverage, tougher build, and better design than the Tile Mate model.

It’s quite loud and the best thing is that you can also ring your mobile phone by clicking a button on the tracker. The battery life is also great. It can go for a whole year.

  9. I’m loving the Innway Card tracker. It is very accurate even when its not been near your mobile phone for quite some time. It is exactly what I wanted. Thank you. The separation alarm; however, could be improved. It would be great to have a feature that alerts only the mobile phone, when both the tracker and phone are far apart, instead of sounding the alarm on the card.

  10. Anyone with experience with these wallet trackers? I have read that they only work if you are 30 meters from the misplaced or lost item and that is if you still have the Bluetooth connection. So what happens if you lose your wallet and then drive home. You are going to lose the Bluetooth connection, so how will the tracker work. Any reliable trackers that work without the need for a Bluetooth connection?

  11. The Tile Pro works okay for a single account, but if you share it with someone else and then try to locate your phone, it’s going to choose the other person’s phone. My wife shared hers with me and now we cannot find her mobile phone on the tracker because it constantly rings my mobile phone. I did contact their customer support to report the problems, but they say that just the way it works.

  12. How much battery power does the Tile app running consistently consume off your mobile phone?

    • I use an iPhone 6s and the battery would last pretty much a whole day. But when I installed the Tile app, and I use three Tiles, the battery charge would get consumed much faster. So I turned off the Bluetooth, location, and background refresh for 24 hours and the consumption returned to normal.

  13. The Safedome tracking card is a great tracker, but I’m not happy with the app. For one, it fails to sound the alarm if you leave an item behind. The status changes and shows when you have left an item at home, but the alarm does not go on to notify you of this. Two, when you return home, it takes time for the app to pick up that you are close to your card. And the Bluetooth connection has its issues as well. If it’s weak, the app does not seem to register this for quite some time. So if your card does not have a beeper, finding it can be a challenge.
